This past weekend, rapper, entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and self appointed philanthropist, 50 Cent, published a terse and biting statement accusing public officials of not only exhibiting a general indifference to impoverished members of society but of suffering from a pervasive case of misconduct. 50 was quoted as saying “Politicians are corrupt…So many companies are corrupt and taking excessive profits in certain sectors…….and we keep allowing this s*** to happen”. Ironically enough, a little less than a year ago, 50 used his Twitter account to promote the publicly traded company, H&H, Inc. He even went as far as stating, “You can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford.” What 50 forgot to mention was that he had recently acquired over 30 million shares of H&H, Inc. In one day, it’s estimated he made over $8.7 million in gains. Apparently, Insider trading doesn’t equate to corrupt behavior.
